Custom Trim, Bookcases and Fireplace Mantle in Bartlett, Illinois

The customers wanted to add some cabinetry and trim in their family room to warm up the room and gain more storage space.

Since the customers use their family room a daily basis they wanted to gain additional storage space for movies, games, etc. so the room didn’t look cluttered.  To achieve this goal we installed custom bookcases flanking their existing fireplace.  We gave them closed storage on the bottom and open shelf storage on the top of each book case and finished both of them off with crown molding.

To integrate the existing fireplace with the custom bookcases we installed a wood mantle trimmed out with the same trim used on the bookcases.  This tied the bookcases in perfectly with the mantle.

The customers loved the crown molding on the top of the bookcases so much that they asked us to come back a couple months later and install crown molding throughout the family room.  This really completed the room and looked great.
