Custom Trim and Bookcases in Barrington

The customers wanted to add some cabinetry and trim in their first floor office to warm up the room and gain more storage space.

We installed cherry wainscoting creating a recessed panel look on the bottom portion of the walls.  We finished off the wainscoting with a wide decorative cherry chair rail molding.  To give balance on the upper portion of the walls we installed 3 piece cherry crown molding.

Since the customers use the office on a daily basis they wanted to gain additional storage space for papers, etc. so when they weren’t using the office it didn’t look cluttered.  To achieve this goal we installed a series of custom bookcases that gave them closed storage on the bottom and open shelf storage on the top.

The customers love this addition to their office and plan to add more custom trim throughout their home.
