Completely Remodeled Master Bathroom in St. Charles, Illinois
The customer wanted to completely remodel and reconfigure their existing master bathroom.
The goals for this project were to enlarge the shower enclosure and to create a separate room for the toilet. We used an existing small adjoining bedroom to enlarge and reconfigure the existing footprint of the master bathroom to accommodate for a large walk in shower, spa bathtub and water closet.
The walk in shower included a decorative tile layout and frameless glass shower door. We also enhanced the shower by installing body sprays and a rain shower head. For additional relaxation we installed a spa bathtub with coordinating tile on the bathtub deck and rear bathtub walls.
For the floor we installed a heated floor mat with thermostat. We installed the same tile on the floor that we installed in the shower enclosure.
We installed a double vanity with extra countertop space for a make-up/dressing station. We installed a granite vanity top which served a dual purpose – durability and style. Between the two vessel sink bowls we installed a cabinet with decorative trim molding that sat on the countertop. This cabinet was a great space to hide items that would normally sit out on the vanity top.
The toilet was installed in a small separate room with a door so multiple people could use the bathroom at the same time.
